Next month, noted blues musician, educator and scholar, Fernando Jones will present Blues Session at Buddy Guy’s Legends, 700 S. Wabash Ave. Blues Session is a three hour blues training camp for musicians between 11- and 14 years old, and will be capped off by a rare solo show by Jones.
The Blues Session is scheduled for Saturday, February 16th from 3 to 6 p.m. There is limited space for beginners, intermediate & advanced student musicians to take classes on taking care of their gear and improving on their instruments.
The rules are simple and the contest is open to any student musician in North America: Parents should record a video of their student musicians playing a blues song, and participants will be selected based on their applications and videos.
All proceeds benefit the Blues Kids Foundation a 501(C)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.
