On January 30, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will appear to discuss her new memoir, My Beloved World, at Harold Washington Public Library at 6 pm.
Sotomayor is the first Hispanic and third woman appointed to the United States Supreme Court. Her new book recounts her journey from a Bronx housing project to the federal bench.
The event will take place in the library’s winter garden on the ninth floor, seating will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no registration required.
Books will be sold at the event, and Sotomayor will be signing autographs after the discussion.
