When the President and his entourage come home to Chicago, all kinds of traffic gets held up. Here bikers near McCormick Place were prevented from rounding the harbor’s edge until the motorcade had passed McCormick Place. The Coast Guard boats, armed with machine guns patrolled the harbor mouth while cyclists and pedestrians watched.
