In the three months its been up and running, riders have traveled more than 1 million miles to and from hundreds of stations all across the city, according to Divvy. Chicago’s Divvy is the second largest in the US, with about 9000 members.
The Divvy folks are running a contest to collect the best YouTube or Vine videos about bike safety. If you want to send one in, focus on the safety topics they mention, like walking your bikes on the sidewalk, wearing a helmet, and navigating urban traffic.
The deadline for video submissions is Monday, September 30. You could win a Five-Year Membership, gift certificates for Bern helmets, and other great Divvy prizes.
Divvy’s got an October special — Intelligentsia coffee is $4 off any $16+ bag of beans every Wednesday in October when you show your Divvy member key. You get a free 8 oz. brewed coffee or shot of espresso with your purchase of beans.
