No federal law mandates that employers give people time off to vote in America. But Illinois is one of 30 states with a a voter-leave law that offers some relief for workers who need to vote on a day they must work. The law requires employees to give notice before Election Day, and the time off is unpaid. We talked to voters on Election Day.
