Story by Adam Colmone
The 38th annual Chicago Pride Parade will take place June 24th. The 17-block parade route will begin at noon, stepping off from Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue. The parade comes near the end of pride month, which has featured 100-plus events in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. This year’s main attraction will be Grand Marshall John Amaechi, who came out after a six-year NBA career. |
