Celebrate Divvy Week with a Discounted Ride and More

Chicago Talks, April 22, 2014

April 21–27, 2014 to be “Divvy Week!” It’s basically a celebration of Chicago’s newest transit system and the people who love it (that’s you)! You can try Divvy by finding a Divvy station (there is an app for that, too) and using you credit card to take a ride.

Remember, Divvy is designed for commuting, not all day cyclo-touring. You can buy a 24-hour guest pass for under ten dollars, and ride and lock, ride and lock, ride and lock, all day long. The best way to use the pass is to ride Divvy for an hour or less, park it. Then when you want to move on, you can get another bike and so on.

A yearly membership is available, too. Then you get a special key that let’s you hope, ride, and park without a hitch. The biggest drag is that you should bring a helmet when you ride, but sometimes you see that Divvy, and taking it to your next destination is so handy, and there’s no helmet.

During the Divvy week, Divvy members get 50% froyo from any Forever Yogurt location in Chicago. Just flash your key at checkout to receive the discount.

The 24-Hour Passes, regularly $7, will be $5 all week and with special incentives to encourage new members to sign up. Look for Divvy Ambassadors will be at several of our stations all week long answering questions, helping out, and giving away special Divvy stickers. Find them in their Divvy T-shirts and say hello!

You can check out all the full details for Divvy week here.

Oh, one more thing! Let everyone know you’re celebrating Divvy Week onFacebook and Twitter.

I hear there will be “wings, ” whatever that means, and you can follow Divvy on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Use or follow the hashtag #DIVVYWEEK to track all the fun!
