Check out Growing Home out on Instagram. It looks delightful and delicious.

It is the farm-fresh produce season and a unique Chicago facility offers free tours of their urban farm on Wood St.

The farm sells produce on Wednesdays between 11:00 am – 3:00 p.m. Check their site to participate in one of their occasional Open Houses. Open Houses occur a few times a year and include refreshments made by our interns, gardening workshops, cooking demonstrations, and kids’ activities.

To schedule a visit to our Wood Street Urban Farm at another time, please contact Sonya Harper, our Outreach Manager, to schedule a tour.  For further assistance visiting the Wood Street Urban Farm or the Honore Street Farm please call 773-434-7144.

We welcome visitors, but request that all visitors make arrangements in advance due to the nature of our educational program.

The mission of Growning Home  is to operate, promote, and demonstrate the use of organic agriculture as a vehicle for job training, employment, and community development. The farm on Wood Street is one of several urban and rural farms they operate. Donate today and change a life forever.
