Press your luck with Dating for Nerds!

Chicago Talks, November 7, 2012

Get lucky during a fate-themed singles mixer. Find your charm over rounds of board games and trivia with other unattached LGBT smarties on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Will’s Northwoods Inn (3030 N Racine Ave.) or with hetero nerds on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Rebel Bar & Grill (3462 N Clark St.).

Play the numbers during a Chance Encounters icebreaker. How it works: Attendees receive a list of 12 prompts. Guys and gals couple up and roll dice to determine the topic of conversation. Each of them takes a turn responding until time is up, then they part ways and meet new pairs.

Fortune favors the bold with drink specials such as the White Russian Roulette (vodka, coffee liqueur, cream and a randomly chosen “mystery” liqueur), the Magic 8 Ball Brew (stout with a splash of blue curacao) and the Drawing Straw-berries Martini (gin, dry vermouth, strawberry schnapps and a strawberry garnish).

And, hit the jackpot with giveaways like Schrodinger’s cat decision makers and waving Luck Cat statue.

Online registration and a fee is required at nerdsatheart.com
