Student Asks You to Help Calculate Columbia’s Carbon Footprint

Chicago Talks, November 3, 2009
For Columbia College students, staff and faculty only… for now. Columbia College student, Ashley Badgley is a Senior Journalism major is asking for your help as she examines the campus’ carbon footprint.
Her final independent project is focusing on how to make Columbia a more sustainable campus. In order to calculate  the carbon footprint of Columbia, she has posted a survey about how Columbia College students, staff, and faculty get to campus.
If you are a Columbia College student, staff, or faculty, please help Ashley do a comprehensive study by filling out this survey at Columbia’s Carbon Footprint.
If you aren’t associated with Columbia, you might consider doing a survey and project like this for your school or workplace. ChicagoTalks editors think that projects that link students to civic engagment and community connections are a good idea. Thanks.
