Ahead of the Illinois primary on March 17, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders made a campaign stop at Grant Park in Chicago on Saturday. After winning only four out of a possible 14 states on Super Tuesday, Sanders is looking to rouse support in the Midwest heading into the Michigan primary on March 10—a state he won during his run for the presidency in 2016, and one that could prove to be pivotal in the run for the Democratic nomination.
Sanders’s competition for the nomination, former Vice President Joe Biden, is currently polling ahead of Sanders at 54% nationally while Sanders is at 38%, according to a Morning Consult poll conducted among 1,390 Democratic primary voters on March 5, with a margin of error of +/- 3%.
