Logan Square residents are divided on whether or not the bike lane on a busy
intersection in the neighborhood is really effective.
In early October, the Chicago Department of Transportation installed a protected bike lane on Logan Boulevard and Western Avenue after the death of a second cyclist at the intersection, and the following calls for action for safety measures to be taken.
Courtney Cobbs, the co-founder of Better Streets Chicago, said while the bike lanes are an improvement, she feels the city could have done more to make the lanes better and added effective barriers.
While some feel that the lanes are a great addition, others feel it could be better or are unhappy with the change.
