Watch: May Day in Chicago May Foreshadow NATO protests

May Day protesters on Jackson Blvd in Chicago.

Chicago’s activists protested today, May 1, for jobs and immigrant rights. They asked the Federal government to take control of the job crisis and take care of people’s rights. Occupy protesters, union supporters and Anonymous participated at the rally.

The protest may anticipate what activists have in story  for the NATO Summit scheduled for May 20-21.

According to the Coalition Against NATO/G8 War & Poverty Agenda, the money that the Federal government and the city of Chicago will spend on the organization of the NATO and G8 are an attack on those 99 percent of people who are affected by the current economic recession.

The next protest scheduled for May 20 is going to touch topics like jobs, housing, healthcare, education, pensions, and environment.
