For the Nerds at Heart: Summer Classic Singles Event

Chicago Talks, August 9, 2012

Find your partner in “Life” during a celebration of board games old and new with Nerds at Heart, the local social for folks who think brains matter as much as beauty. Flirt over board games and trivia. For the nerderati, the next event is Aug. 19th.

Play recent diversions like Morphology, Telestrations, Ultimate Werewolf and Smart Ass with other smart singles.

Plus, boggle minds and monopolize hearts with festivities inspired by tried and true favorites.

Put a spin on socializing during a Twister style icebreaker activity.

Use your cranium during a themed trivia contest. How it works: Each round has general clues loosely related to a different title and ends with a “What board game am I?” question.

Get rewarded for your trouble with prizes like Barrel of Monkeys keychains, pirate dominoes and Connect Four pens.

And, go from trivial pursuer to risk taker with drink specials such as the Queen Frostini (blue curacao floating on top of white creme de cacao), the Spare Ribs (scotch, orange juice, sweet vermouth and muddled cherry) and the Millionaire Estates (hard cider with a shot of Goldschlager).
