Accessible Playgrounds Here and Everywhere

NPR is crowdsourcing a community-edited guide to accessible playgrounds. The collection has  2,191 of them, searchable online. The map lets anyone with a cellphone add more sites.

Go here on your smartphone: Visit npr.org/playgrounds to check the list or add a new playground. Are you feeling left out? If the map for your neighborhood doesn’t have as many accessible playgrounds, don’t get sad, get active. Read this story about what happens when a city doesn’t have the money to meet the federal guidelines for accessibility
