Join Books Ink and Woodson Regional Library in welcoming over 50 authors sharing their books and their writing experiences with avid readers and other writers in panel discussions, workshops and author signings.
Chicago’s own “literary gems,” Elaine Roberts and Oscar DiPriest Hand, life-long Chicagoans aim to preserve the history of Bronzeville and black Chicago’s history will be among the authors on hand on Saturday. They have written histories for adults and children about the clubs and social life on 47th street, and the “Great Migration.”
They will be signing books at Oct. 15, at Carter Woodson Regional Library (9525 S. Halsted Street)during the Author Showcase 2011 from 9:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
